If you love your bike, then you have to truly own it. To truly own it, you need to know how to look after it. That means being able to do most of the maintenance and that means you can always trust it or get out of a bind should one occur. Don’t be the person who spends thousands on bike kit and can’t even change a tire. Why not? Because other riders can detect you and your incompetence. And they are sniggering behind your back. Don’t feel that shame, rise to the other level of being the bike “owner”. It all starts with a chain!
