Maintenance Tips

In this section I hope you can find some useful items to help you in your cycling adventures. I guess nowadays most people that share this sort of thin do so via a vlog but with all the editing etc I am not so sure I can be bothered with all that. The section might not be too organised – perhaps as it evolves some form of logic sense may arrive. I am a bit of a perfectionist on some aspects of bike maintenance and gear. Due to this slightly OCD behaviour I have set up routines I am comfortable that they produce a great result. That said there is so many great things and different was of doing thins out there so PLEASE email me or drop a comment where you think I have it completely wrong or if you have a better way. It would also be nice to know when to have learned something of use so I know it is worth sharing! There I just used the word “nice” – I remember a friend telling me off one by saying it was the most unimaginative adjective out there. The even named a pretty mundane biscuit after it (apologies if it is a fav of yours, but perhaps if you also use the word nice a lot it’s time for some self reflection….)

Chain maintenance – the heart of the drive train!

Creaking press fit bottom bracket – use the right paste!

Bike making unwanted noises – banish the creak!

Got an old bottle dynamo and want a brighter future. Try this!
